As an NCA recognized school in Oklahoma,
Kingfisher High School is a comprehensive h
igh school of about 350
students in grades nine through twelve. The school offers an
extraordinary academic program of required and elective courses.
These courses are taught by a highly trained and motivated staff,
committed to their areas of study and to the students they teach.
Classes are offered in a modern, up-to-date classroom building with
state-of-the-art science labs, a fiber optic Instructional Educational
Television classroom, air-conditioned classrooms, and an exceptional
all-purpose gym facility.
In addition to the academic program, KHS offers a complete and varied co-curricular program of academic clubs and competition. The school also offers vocal and instrumental music activities and competition, a highly respected Agriculture Education program, and a successful speech and drama program.
Outstanding athletic teams with sports activities for all seasons, and a host of other clubs and activities provide nearly every student with additional areas of interest and involvement. KHS now also offers students Advanced Placement courses in the areas of Calculus, Physics and English. These courses offer students opportunities to stretch their minds through new, innovative, and advanced course work. In addition, end of course tests provide the opportunity to earn college credit for their year's work.
Student involvement in activities is encouraged. Research
clearly indicates that the learning that takes place during club, music,
sports, and other school activities is extremely beneficial later in
adult life. In addition, students who participate in school
activities tend to have fewer discipline
problems in school.

opportunity with outstanding required and elective courses in every core
area as well as many areas outside the core curriculum. KHS provides
access to Chisholm Trail Vocational Technical School, courses in fine
arts, foreign language, journalism, and other areas of interests.
Kingfisher students have educational opportunities limited only by their
desire to be successful. Students who graduate from Kingfisher High School are well prepared
either for entering the work force, or for continuing their education.
Approximately 73% of graduating seniors attend at least some college,
others enter the military, some seek vocational training, and others
begin working immediately after high school. Whatever their
choice, students who take advantage of what Kingfisher High School has
to offer are well prepared for what their future may hold.
